The Association of Political Consultants – Africa (APCA) is the leading professional network dedicated to advancing the field of political consulting, governance, and democratic development across the African continent. As a non-partisan, non-profit organization, APCA
brings together political consultants, campaign strategists, public affairs experts, policymakers, and thought leaders to foster ethical, effective, and innovative political practices.
Since our founding in 2016 in Cape Town, South Africa, APCA has expanded into a pan-African coalition, organizing annual summits, training programs, and networking events that provide a platform for knowledge exchange and professional development.
Our mission is to build and strengthen democratic institutions, electoral integrity, and political leadership through professional consulting and strategic engagement.
OUR HISTORY
APCA was launched in 2016 in Cape Town, South Africa, in response to the growing need for a professional body that could support and regulate the field of political consulting in Africa. Recognizing the unique challenges faced in African democracies, we created a space where consultants, advisors, and strategists could share expertise, network, and shape the future of political campaigns and governance in Africa.
Over the years, we have hosted seven Africa Political Summits, convening thousands of political professionals across different regions:
